International and independent, CONFLUENCE was based in Lyon, a European metropole with a strong international influence during 5 years. Since September 2019 CONFLUENCE is based in the center of Paris.

Teaching at the CONFLUENCE is in French and English. The bilingual nature of the school prepares students for the reality of their future professional life and is the key to turning the school into an international platform of architectural education.

Three essential qualities give CONFLUENCE it’s international standing:

a constant renewal of the internationally renowned faculty

the demanding standards for student recruitment, from a global pool of candidates

the creation of a network of international partners with institutions that are recognized both locally and globally.

Architecture school of Münster, Lichtenstein,  Ljubljana, Taiwan, Ann Arbor (USA), McGill (Montréal, Canada), Technion in Tel-Aviv,  Leicester, Harvard GSD (USA), Jadhavpur in India, University of Saint LouisInnsbruck Autriche …

CONFLUENCE possesses a global network that links it to schools on every continent. This network was made possible by relationships created through the personal and professional histories of its founders (USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Pakistan, Tunisia, Taiwan, Russia, Slovenia, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Poland, South Africa).

This network is certainly also made possible by the experience and relationships that Odile Decq has developed with many countries along her career as a practitioner and teacher. Driven by this rich and fruitful experience, she wishes to share it with students at the CONFLUENCE by integrating it as the specificity of the school.
